Tutoring Options
SLAC
The Student Learning Assistance Center, located on the 4th floor of the Alkek Library, provides tutoring for a variety of classes, science or otherwise. Tutors are available throughout the week.

CLC
The Collaborative Learning Center, located on the 4th floor of the RF Mitte Building, is a computer lab, tutoring lab, study space, and learning facility open to all students in the College of Science.
Students from the Houston-Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (H-LSAMP) Scholars Program offer free tutoring in the CLC tutoring lab for courses in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, math, and physics, as well as other disciplines in the College of Science.

JAMP
The pre-health advisors can provide free tutoring services for science courses that are commonly required by professional schools. Students who intend to apply to the Joint Admission Medical Program (JAMP) or those who have been accepted into JAMP have the highest priority for these tutors, but other pre-professional students can take advantage of the tutors on a space-available basis.

Math CATS (Computing and Tutoring Services)
The Texas State Math CATS, located in Derrick Hall, provides math tutoring in a personal environment. The math tutoring lab also has a number of computers available for student use in math classes and for other school work.

Writing Center
The Texas State Writing Center, located in Flowers Hall, provides assistance with writing projects of all kinds including term papers, research papers, essays, resumes and formal letters.
